Common malfunctions and troubleshooting methods for reed plate machines

Motor does not rotate or makes a buzzing sound. Reason: No power, phase missing, wire disconnected, fuse blown. Troubleshooting: Check power supply and wiring, replace fuse. Mechanical parts not moving. Reason: Travel switch, limit switch, or wiring damaged or disconnected. Troubleshooting: Check, adjust, and replace. Reed plate heavy needle. Reason: Too much reed grass laid, excessive weaving pressure. Troubleshooting: Reduce reed grass or raise needle beam, reduce weaving pressure and appropriately increase traction pressure.

(1) Motor does not rotate or hums Reason: No power, phase missing, wires disconnected, fuse blown. Troubleshooting: Check power supply and wiring, replace fuse. (2) Mechanical parts do not move together Reason: Travel switch, limit switch, and wires damaged or disconnected. Troubleshooting: Inspect, adjust, replace. (3) Reed plate needle jamming Reason: Excessive reed laying, excessive weaving pressure. Troubleshooting: Reduce reed or raise the needle beam, reduce weaving pressure and appropriately increase the traction pressure. (4) Shuttle does not pick up yarn or lock the edge Reason: Shuttle positioning screws loose, shuttle damaged, shuttle stroke too short. Troubleshooting: See section five, adjustment method (2) shuttle adjustment. (5) Abnormal sounds during machine operation Reason: Loose parts, lack of lubrication. Troubleshooting: Tighten and adjust, add lubricating oil. (6) Reed plate breakage Reason: Excessive weaving pressure, poor material connection. Troubleshooting: Reduce reed, raise the needle beam, and reconnect the reed. (7) Conveyor belt does not move or deviates Reason: Material feed shaft pulley misaligned or too loose. Troubleshooting: Check and adjust the pulley, tighten the belt.
